Intermediate Tap Choreo Demo

My student needed to send dance videos for his college auditions. This choreography is meant to showcase his talents while simultaneously challenging him to work on more advanced skills to wow the admissions panel.

Contemporary Workshop Choreo Demo

This is an intermediate-level contemporary combo I choreographed to help theatre students understand movement isolation and dynamics. I also intentionally chose a popular song to drive excitement and engagement with the material.

Peter and The Starcatcher Audition Dance

This combo was meant to simulate the choreography from the opening number of the show. The main focus was on moving with expression and intention. Students were encouraged to feel the music and let emotions show not just in their faces, but their whole bodies.

Matilda - “Bruce” Desk Choreo Demo

The biggest challenge of choreographing Matilda was using the desks throughout the classroom numbers. In this snippet, we use the desk as a staircase, platform, and chair. We also have different choreography for those who are doubting Bruce and those who are encouraging him.

Pippin - “Magic to Do” Large Group Choreo Demo

This choreography was done with a full cast of 88 people onstage. It was meant to be simple and high-energy as it was the ending of the opening number.

Pippin - “Entracte” Choreo Demo

This was another high-energy number to wake the audience up for Act 2. Throughout this show, my choreography utilized a lot of campy, fosse-esque, vaudeville bounce and this snippet showcases that pretty well.

Addams Family Jr. - “Full Disclosure” Choreo Demo

This choreography was quirky and fun while still being accessible to junior high students. Since this number was seated we could get more intricate with the hand movements and they loved the challenge!
